The location was so clutch, with Botahtaung Jetty and Pansodan Ferry Terminal just a short walk away. We were all about that adventure life, and these spots were perfect for our rad activities. We had a blast exploring the city from there, making memories that will last a lifetime.
The only thing that would've made our stay even more epic is if the hostel had a sick rooftop party area. Like, imagine chilling with your squad, jamming to sick beats, and soaking in the Yangon skyline.

The hostel offers private and cozy dorm beds with curtains for added privacy. They provide free toiletries and bottled water, which is not common for a dorm bed. The location is great, with plenty of dining options nearby and easy access to food stalls and shops. The staff is incredibly friendly and goes above and beyond to make guests feel at home. The hostel has a homely feel with unique puppet decorations, and the owners take good care of the place.
Felt like a fairytale, no complaints.

During our stay at the retreat in downtown Yangon, we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and tranquility of the place. The bustling city outside felt miles away as we enjoyed the peaceful ambiance. The staff went above and beyond, especially when we had to catch an early bus. They even prepared a takeaway breakfast for us at 5am! Free water was a great bonus. We'll definitely be returning to Shannkalay. highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel in Yangon! The staff were super friendly and gave us a warm welcome to Myanmar. They were also very helpful with local information. The hostel itself is small, but comfortable. The dorm room was fine, even though it was a bit cold and dark with the AC. However, the bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed a nice breakfast in the morning. The facilities were well maintained and the hotel was safe and clean. we had a great experience with the staff, cleanliness, hotel facilities, and breakfast.
No issues.

The hostel had a nice balcony where we could relax after a long day of exploring. The shared bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of them for the number of guests. The location was also great, situated on a quiet street in a nice, local neighborhood with a market, tea house, restaurants, and shops. The overall vibe of the place was very good and it offered good value for the money. The hostel provided towels and toiletries, which was a nice touch. The breakfast may not have been exciting, but it was enjoyable to eat outside on the balcony and listen to the town wake up.
Nothing, it is perfect.

I chose this hotel for my business appointment because of its prime location in the heart of Yangon, at the meeting point between Sule Pagoda road and the Mahabandoola road. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any questions or needs. The hot shower was a great relief after a long day, and it worked flawlessly in any circumstance.
The only service that I missed for my work was a dedicated workspace or desk in the room. It would have been convenient to have a designated area to set up my laptop and work comfortably.
